Updates for macOS, iPadOS, and iOS
Apple has issued incremental updates to its operating systems, including iOS 18.3.2, macOS 15.3.2, visionOS 2.3.2, and tvOS 18.3.1.
Apple’s update news tends to revolve around major revisions, but sometimes it is about much smaller releases. On Tuesday, Apple did just that, releasing a set of smaller updates to the public.
The updates are headed up by iOS 18.3.2 and iPadOS 18.3.2, build number 22D82, along with macOS Sequoia 15.3, build 24D81. They are accompanied by tvOS 18.3.1, and visionOS 2.3.2, build 22N906.
Smaller releases are a fairly common phenomenon between more major updates, as they tend to include security and bug fixes, as well as compatibility refinements for new hardware.
So far, Apple’s information about the content of the updates say they include “bug fixes, security updates, and addresses an issue that may prevent playback of some streaming content.” Apple doesn’t specify what, but details such as the security updates should be added to the Apple Security Releases page in the near future.
These follow after a similar update issued by Apple on February 10, bringing the operating systems to their x.x.1 versions. That set of updates, including iOS 18.3.1, also included bug fixes and security updates.
iPhone and iPad owners can manually update their devices by opening the Settings app and selecting General, followed by Software Update. If the update is available, tap Update Now.
While Apple has issued updates for the current operating system roster, it is also working on betas for the next set of updates. The inbound iOS 18.4 and counterparts being tested have changes including increased Apple Intelligence localization support, adjustments to Priority Notifications, and an Apple Vision Pro app, among other additions.
