Conversational AI has basically reshaped how we work together with know-how. For designers and builders, simulating pure and interesting multi-party conversations has traditionally required a trade-off: accept the rigidity of scripted interplay or settle for the unpredictability of purely generative fashions. To bridge this hole, we’d like instruments that mix the structural predictability of a script with the spontaneous, improvisational nature of human dialog.
To handle this want, we introduce DialogLab, offered at ACM UIST 2025, an open-source prototyping framework designed to writer, simulate, and take a look at dynamic human-AI group conversations. DialogLab supplies a unified interface to handle multi-party dialogue complexity, dealing with all the things from defining agent personas to orchestrating advanced turn-taking dynamics.
